You want socialized medical care? Really?

What the heck is wrong with the folks in our great country who want socialized medical care?! If you truly think socialized anything is good, but especially medical care, just ask any Canadian or Brit or anyother person in a socialist country that has that system of "care" in place just how wonderful it is. But even that looks past the most obvious problem that most sane and rational people should have with it. Your federal government cannot run ANY of it's agencies or programs efficiently, look at the social security administration, the welfare program, the tremendous amount of bureaucratic waste in ALL departments, ALL programs and ALL agencies.If you want rationed "care" then just move to Canada or Great Britain then tell me how great socialized medicine is. This website has a wealth of information about how "great" it would be to have this system in place http://patientsunitednow.com/ . People have died and are still dying waiting for treatment. People have died because the system deemed them not worthy of "care", like having a terminal illness, being too old, children with incurable diseases like MS or CP whom will never be productive members of society, the list goes on and on with reasons for denial of their "care". I hear folks all the time saying that our government would never do that. Well, that's what the Canadians and the Brits thought before their system was put in place, and it is happening and with alarming frequency there.To take the government's largess and trampling of our freedoms to the next logical step, let's look at restrictions on your diet. You say no way? Really? Why not? If the government is providing you with health "care " coverage, don't you think that they would want to protect their investment in you? The government will need all the healthy younger people it can get to pay for this giant boondoggle, so they will try to make sure you stay as healthy as possible even if they have to monitor your diet or just ban certain foods outright. Think it won't happen here? It's already beginning to happen here. New York City has banned trans fats and instituted a large tax on all soda (pop) except diet soda. So it begins, little by little with no nationwide coverage in place yet. Just wait until socialized medical "care" comes, it will open the floodgates of government intrusion. I have a question for all you obama lovers out there. Has he paid you mortgage or your bills or put gas in your car yet? I didn't think so! Some folks are so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to breed nor vote, which brings me back to a topic I discussed in an earlier muse. Madatory basic citizenship and current events testing prior to any voting and stripping the voting rights from those on any public assistance are just a couple of steps that could lead the country back down the correct path of freedom and personal responsibility.I'll turn the rant off for now.
